NU671 Unit 1 APEA QBank Herzing University
Introduction to APEA Qbank
The Assessment Qbank facilitates the development of a knowledge base and the skills essential for satisfactorily ‘working up’ a patient. The Advanced Assessment Qbank contains 800 questions in the QBank which lay the foundation for obtaining the patient history and chief complaint, performing the physical examination and ordering diagnostic testing, and identifying disease presentation.
The APEA Assessment Qbank is a resource provided to you by Herzing as an exam success resource. The Qbank assignments assist in preparing you for not only the ‘Clinical Foundations Proficiency Exam’, but also provide you with experience engaging with certification style exam questions. Achieving the benchmark score on the Clinical Foundations Proficiency Exam is required to be able to progress from this course into the population-based clinical courses.
You will or you should have already received an email to your Herzing email account directly from APEA. In this email are your instructions for setting up your account. If you are not seeing this email – be sure to check your “SPAM/Junk” mail folder.
In week 4 you will receive additional information directly from APEA about how to take the Clinical Foundations Proficiency Exam.
The Assessment Qbank is a valuable resource. Do not rush through questions and feel free to generate your ‘exam session’ in tutorial mode so that you will be able to see the rationales for why you did/did not get an answer correct. As you progress through the QBank resource consider generating some sessions in ‘exam’ mode and, time permitting, consider generating a ‘random’ 75 question exam and pacing yourself to complete it in 90 minutes as this is what the ‘Clinical Foundations Proficiency Exam’ session will be like.
Once you are satisfied with your ‘exam score’ download the results of that exam session into a PDF so that you will have that to submit weekly where you are prompted to do so.
Here are the instructions on how to download your exam session results as a PDF file that you will submit when directed to do so in a course module.
